Editorial Note:

In Theosophy, the idea of an anthropomorphic God
or Lord is a symbol for the Universal Law, but it also
represents one’s own Higher Self and Spiritual Soul.

We ask you, Holy Father, for all the nations of the world, for kings and all rulers:

Give them wisdom and knowledge that they may rule their people in peace, protect and defend the pious, and prevent evil. Do this so they may execute the office and duty that you have assigned to them.

We ask you, Holy Father, to give us grace that we may live a pious, God-fearing life under them, able to walk the path of wisdom and truth. May our kindness be made known to all people as we live peacefully and uprightly among them.

Amen.

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.” (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
