Editorial Note: The Key to Reading
The words “Almighty God” are a poetical reference
to the Universal Law. The phrase “Heavenly Father”
means one’s own higher self or spiritual soul, which lives
in direct unity with the Cosmic Law of Equilibrium and
Justice. The “devil” and our “enemies” are the different
forms our own spiritual ignorance, individual and collective.

Almighty God and heavenly Father, I ask you with all my heart, give me true faith, hope, and love, through which I may become holy and blessed.
I ask you, Holy Father, make me strong in my weakness and healthy in my sickness, both in soul and body.
So clothe me, Holy Father, in the armor of your divine power that I may triumph against the cunning attack of the evil enemy, who fights against your truth.
Give me the shield of genuine faith so that I might have victory against those who would prevent me from living out your love and justice.
Amen.
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:10-11)
